Bakersfield Train Robbers Rally Past Dublin Leprechauns 8-7

The Bakersfield Train Robbers pulled off a dramatic 8-7 walk-off win over the Dublin Leprechauns on May 20, 2026.

Bakersfield jumped ahead early when Joe Riddle launched a two-run home run to center field in the first inning, scoring Joe Starick and giving the Train Robbers a 2-0 lead.

Dublin answered in the second inning when Joseph Nunn grounded into a double play that brought home DJ Aceron, cutting the lead to 2-1.

The Leprechauns took the lead in the sixth inning. DJ Aceron singled home Damon Hale to tie the game, and Nunn followed with an RBI single to put Dublin ahead 3-2.

Bakersfield responded in the bottom of the sixth when Christian Alamirano singled home Joe Starick, tying the game at 3-3.

The Train Robbers appeared to take control in the eighth inning. Alamirano drew a bases-loaded walk to bring in Starick, and Sean Connolly followed with a two-run single that scored Cade Fujii and Dylan Heil, giving Bakersfield a 6-3 lead.

Dublin battled back in the ninth inning with four runs. Timothy Wagner reached on an error to bring home Tony Torres, Damon Hale followed with a two-run single, and Aceron delivered an RBI single to right field to put the Leprechauns ahead 7-6.

But Bakersfield had one final answer. In the bottom of the ninth, the Train Robbers tied the game on a wild pitch that scored Rikuto Tsutsui. Moments later, another wild pitch brought home Jumpei Ohashi with the winning run, giving Bakersfield an 8-7 victory.

Riddle led Bakersfield with the game’s only home run and two RBIs. Connolly and Alamirano also drove in two runs each. Jumpei Ohashi finished with three hits for the Train Robbers.

For Dublin, DJ Aceron had a strong night with three hits and two RBIs, while Damon Hale added two hits and two RBIs.

Lucas Belcher earned the win for Bakersfield, while Tony Torres took the loss for Dublin.
