Jay Acton- General Manager Taos Blizzard-Jay Acton has spent over twenty-five years in professional baseball. He has owned and run affiliated teams—the Watertown Pirates (Pittsburgh), South Bend White Sox (Chicago) and Peninsula Pilots (Seattle). Over one hundred major league players including Moises Alou, Tim Wakefield, Bret Boone and Joe Nathan got their starts on his teams. He has also been a stockholder and owned or operated independent professional teams in the NY-Penn League, the Carolina League, the Empire State League, the Northeast League, the Western League, the New York State League, the Can-Am League and the Pecos League. He is the co-author with Nick Bakalar of the book GREEN DIAMONDS: The Pleasures and Perils of Investing in Minor League Baseball.
