In 2016 the Pecos League of Professional Clubs will have one expansion teams and five first year managers. With the high number of players signed out of the Pecos League in 2016 and the low number of teams left in independent baseball our managers and front office staffs have been bombarded with prospective players. We have held 6 tryout camps and hosted our own Spring League. Spring Training will be held in Las Cruces, NM.

We our offering the following program for Guaranteed Spring Training Invites: You will be responsible for your own equipment, hotel stay, food and transportation. You will have a much better opportunity making a team for 3 days than a regular tryout. Plus with the cost of travel it is simply not worth it to travel to New Mexico for a 1/2 day tryout. We are the only league in North America that is offering a guaranteed Spring Training Invite.
FAQ
  • Why are you charging me $300 and where does the money go?
    The League or Teams will receive the money to help with their operation. The league must pay coaches and staff in spring training and is the only league around that is offering open shots to Spring Training without invites.
  • When I pay the $300 what I am getting?
    You are getting three days in spring training with one of the Pecos League Teams. You will be in camp the first three days of Spring Training. Each team has different report dates. Teams final rosters are due May 14 and beyond and possibly make the opening day roster.
  • Are there discounts on hotels?
    The Pecos League will attempt to reserve a block of hotels in each city at a discounted rate. And will give you this information before attending the camp.
  • Which team will I be assigned to? Can I request a team?
    Not all teams will participate in Spring Training Invite Program due to limited hotel space in towns and certain managers have set teams and will not look at invites. You will be sent to a team where you have chance to make the team. You will be given a choice of 4 cities/teams to report to based on your position.
  • What positions are you looking for?
    As with all levels of baseball teams are looking for all positions.. Pitching in any level of baseball is always in demand.
