Fifth-inning rally sparks blowout win for the Topeka Train Robbers 8-2

A five-run explosion in the fifth inning carried the Topeka Train Robbers (25-31) to an 8-2 win in seven innings over the Trinidad Triggers at Central Park on Tuesday.

The Topeka Train Robbers scored in the fifth on a solo home run by Gabriel Acevedo, a two-run double by Ian Horne, a fielders choice, and an error.

Acevedo racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Topeka Train Robbers.

The Topeka Train Robbers got the win thanks in large part to Logan Truexs dominant, seven-strikeout performance. Truex allowed two earned runs, nine hits and two walks over seven innings.

Brian Frazier boosted his batting average thanks to a perfect 2-2 day at the plate to pace the Trinidad Triggers (31-28). He singled in the first and fourth innings.

Daniel Karasinski couldnt get it done on the hill for the Trinidad Triggers, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
