The Trinidad Triggers took a 1-0 lead in the best of the 3 series Friday night in Roswell New
Mexico.
Friday's game against Trinidad Triggers was a heartbreaker for Roswell Invaders, as they lost
the lead late in a 5-2 defeat. Trinidad Triggers was down 2-1 in the top of the ninth inning
when Charles Osborne homered on a 3-2 count, scoring four runs.
Roswell Invaders knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the fifth inning, when an error
scored one run for Roswell Invaders.
Joseph Broderick was the winning pitcher for Trinidad Triggers. He surrendered two runs on four
hits over eight innings, striking out ten. Cody Strayer threw one inning in relief out of the
bullpen. Strayer recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Trinidad Triggers.
Lance Fairchild took the loss for Roswell Invaders. He lasted one inning, allowing two hits and
four runs while striking out three and walking one.
Ben Mckendall started the game for Roswell Invaders. He surrendered one run on two hits over
eight innings, striking out 11
Gavin Lavallee, Jackson Pritchard, Mckendall, and Louie Martini each collected one hit to lead
Roswell Invaders.
