The Las Vegas Train Robbers (2-0) beat the Trinidad Triggers 8-2 in seven innings on Saturday after a five-run explosion in the fifth inning.

Randy Wells got a hit in each of his three at bats. He singled in the first, third, and sixth innings.

Atsushi Hebisawa picked up the win for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. Hebisawa allowed two earned runs, five hits and no walks while striking out five over six innings of work.

Frank Florio had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He homered in the second inning and doubled in the fourth inning.

Benji Waite was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed seven runs in five innings, walked four and struck out one.

Dillon Usiak, Andrew Lopez and Wells helped lead the Las Vegas Train Robbers. They combined for five hits and six RBIs.
