The White Sands Pupfish (24-33) beat the Las Vegas Train Robbers (34-23) 7-5 on Sunday behind Mark Leacox, who had two extra base hits.

He singled in the third inning, doubled in the seventh inning, and tripled in the eighth inning.

Will Walsh did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Las Vegas Train Robbers, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had two RBIs. He homered in the seventh inning.

J.R. Bromberg got the win, running his season record to 1-1. He allowed one run over two innings. Bromberg struck out two, walked one and gave up two hits.

The White Sands Pupfish were sparked by Leacox and Cody Collins, who teamed up for five hits and four RBIs.

Shayne Miller ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
