3/9/2017-The Galveston Sea Lions defeated the Garden of Gears 11-2. Logan Escudero pitched three scoreless innings for the Lions. Elvin Jorge pitched four innings with seven strikeouts allowing two runs. Quentin Herbster was 3-3 for the Lions. Brian Wiest went 2-2 to continue to lead the Pecos Spring League in hitting.

For the Gears, Trevor Wick pitched three innings allowing 10 runs on 7 hits. TJ Zarewitz pitched three innings allowing only 1 run. Roger Guillen hit a two run homer.
