The White Sands Pupfish make the most of 8 hits in 7-2 victory over the Roswell Invaders

The White Sands Pupfish (24-35) and the Roswell Invaders (41-17) both threatened with rallies, but it was the White Sands Pupfish that eventually took advantage of them in a 7-2 win at Griggs Park.

Vladimer Gomez did his best to jumpstart the offense for the White Sands Pupfish, reaching base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the third and fifth innings.

Garret Alvarez picked up the win for the White Sands Pupfish. Alvarez allowed no earned runs, seven hits and one walk while striking out five over seven innings of work.

Cody Coffman had two extra-base hits for the Roswell Invaders. He doubled in the first and eighth innings.

Eric Gleese ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed five runs.
