The Tucson Saguaros top the Santa Fe Fuego behind Retzs 5 hits 20-5

An outstanding effort by Ryan Retz spurred the Tucson Saguaros (44-13) to a 20-5 win over the Santa Fe Fuego (15-43) on Tuesday at Fort Marcy Park.

Retz blasted two home runs for the Tucson Saguaros. Retz went 5-6 in the game with four RBIs and four runs scored. Retz homered in the first and third innings.

The Tucson Saguaros ran up the score, scoring runs at will until the final out. The Tucson Saguaros scored four runs in the last three innings to finish off the blowout win. The Tucson Saguaros scored six runs in the first on the Tucson Saguaros scored in the first on a two-run home run by Retz, a solo home run by Jimmy Heck, and a three-run home run by Tommy Lyons.

Steven Borkowski struck out nine, paving the way for a the Tucson Saguaros win. Borkowski allowed two earned runs on six hits and two walks over seven innings.

The Tucson Saguaros pounded the Santa Fe Fuego pitching, as seven hitters combined for 19 hits, 18 RBIs and 19 runs scored.

Anthony Garcia ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with the loss. He allowed 16 runs in six innings, walked four and struck out one.
