Sixth-inning rally sparks blowout win for the Roswell Invaders 15-5


An 11-run explosion in the sixth inning carried the Roswell Invaders (41-16) to a 15-5 win over the Santa Fe Fuego at Fort Marcy Park on Sunday.

The Roswell Invaders scored in the sixth on an error, an error, an RBI single by Rene Moreda, a home run by Luis Martini, a three-run home run by Kaohu Gasper, and a solo home run by Jim Smith.

Martini racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Roswell Invaders.

Eric Maria reached base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the eighth inning.

TJ Pruneda recorded his fifth win of the year for the Roswell Invaders. He allowed four runs over five innings. He struck out three, walked one and surrendered five hits.

Zack Carter (2-4) took the loss for the Santa Fe Fuego (15-42). He allowed 14 runs in six innings, walked one and struck out six.

The Roswell Invaders pounded the Santa Fe Fuego pitching, as six hitters combined for 14 hits, 11 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
