Lacugnas big day not enough as the Santa Fe Fuego fall to the Topeka Train Robbers 17-15

Joey Lacugna hit two home runs, but it wasnt enough to carry the Santa Fe Fuego (10-36) to a win on Wednesday, as the Santa Fe Fuego fell to the Topeka Train Robbers (20-24) 17-15 at Fort Marcy Park in 10 innings.

Steven Taft racked up six RBIs on three hits for the Topeka Train Robbers. He singled in the first inning.

Both squads had things going at the plate, tallying 32 runs and 38 hits, including zero extra base hits. Relief pitchers got their fill of innings during the game, with the opposing managers using nine pitchers in total.

Logan Truex recorded his first win of the year for the Topeka Train Robbers. He allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings. Truex struck out two, walked two and gave up one hit.

Thomas Zarewicz couldnt get it done on the mound for the Santa Fe Fuego, taking a loss. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
