Ardeesers single propels the Garden City Wind past the Trinidad Triggers 5-2


The Garden City Wind (22-19) jumped on the Trinidad Triggers (23-19) early on their way to a 5-2 win on Sunday at Clint Lightner, scoring five runs in the first inning.

The Garden City Wind scored in the first on an RBI single by Clay Ardeeser, an RBI single by Leon Stimpson, an RBI single by Ken Olszewski, and a two-run single by Nick Francis.

Eric Esquilin got on base four times in the game for the Garden City Wind. He singled in the first, fourth, and sixth innings.

Austin Boyle racked up eight strikeouts in the the Garden City Wind win. Boyle allowed one earned run on two hits and six walks over seven innings.

Daniel Karasinski (4-3) was the games losing pitcher. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
