The Santa Fe Fuego need extra frames to finish the Tucson Saguaros win 5-4

The Santa Fe Fuego (10-30) needed 10 innings on Wednesday to take down the Tucson Saguaros (32-10) 5-4 at Fort Marcy Park.

With the score tied at four, Omar Artsen came to the plate and reached on an error, scoring Kevin Alvarez.

Matt Haskins racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Santa Fe Fuego. He singled in the third inning and homered in the seventh inning.

It was a good day at the plate for the Tucson Saguaros Jesse Baker. Baker went 2-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the seventh inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Mike Cowan improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Santa Fe Fuego. He struck out three, walked none and surrendered three hits.

Aaron Smith (1-3) was the games losing pitcher. He lasted just zero innings, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
