Thursday was a great day for Kevin Delzell, as Delzell threw a shutout to carry the Salina Stockade (14-17) to a 5-0 victory over the Great Bend Boom (13-17) at Dean Evans Stadium.

Delzell held the Great Bend Boom scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up five.

CJ Epperson racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Salina Stockade. He homered in the sixth inning and singled in the first and seventh innings.

Stephen Swagerty was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
