The Alpine Cowboys make the most of 12 hits in 12-7 victory over the Santa Fe Fuego

The Alpine Cowboys (17-13) and the Santa Fe Fuego (6-28) both had scoring chances on Sunday, but it was the Alpine Cowboys that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 12-7 win at Fort Marcy Park.

Daniel Aldrich had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He homered in the first inning, doubled in the third inning, and singled in the fourth inning.

Chris Tavares racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Santa Fe Fuego. He singled in the third inning and homered in the ninth inning.

Ely Gallego got his first win for the Alpine Cowboys despite allowing five runs over 7 2/3 innings. Gallego struck out five, walked one and gave up 11 hits.

Michael Hahn couldnt get it done on the hill for the Santa Fe Fuego, taking a loss. He allowed nine runs in three innings, walked five and struck out six.

The Alpine Cowboys Phildrick Llewellyn, Jon Denney, JJ Graham and Aldrich combined for nine hits and six RBIs.
