The Trinidad Triggers top the Salina Stockade behind Magees 2 hits 11-2


Tuesday was a great day for Eric Magee, as he hit two home runs to carry the Trinidad Triggers (17-9) to an 11-2 victory over the Salina Stockade (11-13) at Central Park in seven innings.

Five runs in the opening three innings allowed the Trinidad Triggers to easily put away the Salina Stockade. An RBI single by Eric Williams in the first inning supplied the early offense for the Trinidad Triggers.

Denver Diefenbach struck out seven, paving the way for a the Trinidad Triggers win. Diefenbach allowed one earned run, seven hits and three walks over six innings.

Dalton Bernardi (1-2) took the loss for the Salina Stockade. He allowed seven runs in four innings, walked six and struck out four.

John Nicholson, Magee and Caleb Baker helped lead the Trinidad Triggers. They combined for six hits and eight RBIs.
