The White Sands Pupfish fall 18-5 at the hands of the Tucson Saguaros

The White Sands Pupfish (5-8) didnt stand a chance on Monday, as the Tucson Saguaros (11-2) captured a blowout 18-5 win at Griggs Park.

The Tucson Saguaros scored eight runs in the eighth on the Tucson Saguaros scored in the eighth on a two-run double by Jesse Baker, a wild pitch, an RBI single by Carlos Diaz, a sacrifice fly by Ryan Retz, and a three-run home run by Adam Urbania.

Baker racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Tucson Saguaros.

Mark Davis reached base three times in the game for the White Sands Pupfish. He scored one run and had one RBI. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the ninth inning.

Diaz improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Tucson Saguaros. He allowed four runs over seven innings. Diaz struck out six, walked four and gave up six hits.

Rob Rizzitelli (0-1) took the loss for the White Sands Pupfish. He allowed eight runs in four innings, walked six and struck out four.
