The Salina Stockade jump on the White Sands Pupfish early and coast to 11-5 win


The Salina Stockade (3-6) jumped out to an early lead on the White Sands Pupfish (4-6) and captured an 11-5 victory on Friday at Griggs Park.

Eight runs in the first three innings allowed the Salina Stockade to put the game away early.

A two-run double by CJ Epperson and a two-run single by Mike Rachun in the first inning supplied the early offense for the Salina Stockade.

Rachun racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Salina Stockade.

Despite the loss, the White Sands Pupfishs Thompson dominated the Salina Stockades batters, giving up zero runs and striking out 11.

Kevin Delzell got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed two runs over seven innings. He struck out four, walked one and surrendered 11 hits.

Cameron Powers (0-2) took the loss for the White Sands Pupfish. He allowed eight runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out two.
