The Roswell Invaders escape the Topeka Train Robbers behind Prunedas 6 strikeouts 12-0

TJ Pruneda hopes every outing could go as well as Saturday, as Pruneda tossed a shutout to carry the Roswell Invaders (2-0) to a 12-0 victory over the Topeka Train Robbers (0-2) at Bettis Complex.

Pruneda held the Topeka Train Robbers scoreless during his nine innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on two hits while ringing up six.

The Roswell Invaders blew out the Topeka Train Robbers thanks to 15 hits, including zero extra base hits. The Roswell Invaders scored four runs in the seventh on the Roswell Invaders scored in the seventh on an error, a fielders choice, an RBI single by Christian Johnson, a hit by pitch, and a wild pitch.

The Topeka Train Robbers couldnt slow down Rene Morada, who paced the Roswell Invaders with five hits. He doubled in the third and sixth innings and singled in the fifth, seventh, and ninth innings.

Nick Hernandez (0-1) took the loss for the Topeka Train Robbers. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
