Danny Grauer went 3-3 at the plate, helping the Roswell Invaders (1-0) to a 4-2 victory over the Alpine Cowboys (0-1) on Wednesday at Kokernot Field.

He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.

The Roswell Invaders relied on Ryan Davis to eat up innings en route to the win. Davis pitched nine innings and allowed two earned runs, eight hits and one walk while striking out four.

Eric Herman racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Alpine Cowboys. He singled in the fourth innings and homered in the ninth inning.

Chris Rogers brought the heat against the Roswell Invaders during his outing. Rogers held the Roswell Invaders hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three.

Kevin Klaess ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked four, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
