Grauer stars as the Roswell Invaders defeat the Garden City Wind 10-9

6/29/2015-

Danny Grauer clubbed two home runs to carry the Roswell Invaders (24-16) to a 10-9 win over the Garden City Wind (9-30) at Joe Bauman Park in 14 innings.

A walk-off single by Michael Granda gave the Roswell Invaders the win.

It was a good day at the plate for the Roswell Invaders Granda. Granda went 3-7, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third and fourteenth innings.

Each team blasted the others pitching, and there were 19 total runs and 34 hits during the game. There were nine pitchers used in the game as the two managers searched for any way to finish it off.

Shane Simpkins recorded his second win of the year for the Roswell Invaders. Simpkins struck out five, walked none and gave up one hit.

Chip White ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked none, struck out three, and allowed one run.

The Roswell Invaders were sparked by Grauer and Aaron Carman, who teamed up for eight hits and five RBIs.
