Kyal Williams kept the Las Cruces Vaqueros (11-25) off the board during his 5 2/3 innings of work and the Las Vegas Train Robbers (13-21) beat the Las Cruces Vaqueros, 8-3.

Williams struck out four and allowed no walks and one hit.

Max Garza racked up four RBIs on four hits for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He singled in the third, fifth, sixth, and seventh innings.

A bright spot for the Las Cruces Vaqueros in the defeat was Guadalupe Barrera, who allowed only three runs while striking out seven.

Tyler Lequire was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked none, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
