The Las Vegas Train Robbers fall 9-2 at the hands of the White Sands Pupfish

The White Sands Pupfish (13-8) pounded the Las Vegas Train Robbers (7-12) on Tuesday 9-2 at Apodoca Park.

The White Sands Pupfish scored four runs in the fifth on the White Sands Pupfish scored in the fifth on a two-run single by Wesley Wallace, a two-run single by Wallace, and a two-run triple by Joe Borowski.

Aaron Nardone had a hot bat for the White Sands Pupfish. Nardone went 3-4, drove in one and scored three runs. He singled in the first, sixth, and eighth innings.

The Las Vegas Train Robbers had no answer for Ritchie Sunija, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Sunija held the Las Vegas Train Robbers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Ryo Haruyama reached base four times in the game for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He singled in the second inning.

Joe McCarty improved to 2-0 on the year by picking up the win for the White Sands Pupfish. He allowed two runs over five innings. McCarty struck out three, walked three and gave up five hits.

Casey Hood (1-2) took the loss for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked three and struck out seven.
