The Santa Fe Fuego need walk-off single to beat the Trinidad Triggers 16-15

A walk-off single from Macyn Clifford brought home the winning run for the Santa Fe Fuego (6-1) in a 16-15 victory over the Trinidad Triggers (7-2) in 10 innings at Central Park on Saturday.

Clifford racked up two RBIs on one hit for the Santa Fe Fuego. He singled in the ninth and tenth innings.

Caleb Bryson hit two home runs for the Trinidad Triggers. Bryson went 3-4 in the game with three RBIs and four runs scored. Bryson homered in the first and third innings.

Each team blasted the others pitching, and there were 31 total runs and 35 hits during the game. Relief pitchers got their fill of innings during the game, with the opposing managers using 11 pitchers in total.

Heath Nichols recorded his second win of the year for the Santa Fe Fuego. He allowed three runs over one inning. He struck out none, walked three and surrendered two hits.

Justin Mauldin (0-1) was the games losing pitcher. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out two, and allowed five runs.

Chevas Numata, Martin Guevara, David Brandt and Eddie Newton helped lead the Santa Fe Fuego. They combined for 15 hits and seven RBIs.
