An awesome effort by Chevas Numata hoisted the Santa Fe Fuego (1-1) to a 7-3 win over the Trinidad Triggers (1-1) on Saturday at Fort Marcy Park.

Numata rocked the Trinidad Triggers with two home runs. Numata went 3-5 in the game with five RBIs and two runs scored. Numata homered in the eighth inning.

Cody Coffman was hot from the plate for the Trinidad Triggers. Coffman went 1-3, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the sixth inning.

Francisco Rodriguez recorded his first win of the year for the Santa Fe Fuego. Rodriguez struck out one, walked one and gave up no hits.

Zach Leitten (0-1) was the games losing pitcher. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked three, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
