The Santa Fe Fuego need walk-off single to beat the Raton Osos 7-6

A walk-off single from Eric Kozel brought home the winning run for the Santa Fe Fuego (40-20) in a 7-6 victory over the Raton Osos (22-35) in 10 innings at Fort Marcy Park on Wednesday.

Kozel led the Santa Fe Fuegos offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He singled in the third and tenth innings.

Craig Massey had a busy day at the plate, collecting three extra-base hits. He doubled in the third and fifth innings and homered in the ninth inning.

Brandon Gonella put together a nice outing. Gonella held the Raton Osos hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.

Cory Deigan got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Cody Ellerbee was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed no runs.

The Santa Fe Fuegos Massey, Aaron Carman, Kozel and Charles Johnson combined for eight hits and six RBIs.
