Early boost from Donaldson helps the Alpine Cowboys get past the Las Vegas Train Robbers 7-4

The Alpine Cowboys (34-17) jumped on the Las Vegas Train Robbers (14-31) early on their way to a 7-4 win on Wednesday at Kokernot Field in seven innings, scoring three runs in the first inning.

The Alpine Cowboys scored in the first on an RBI single by Casanova Donaldson, an error, and an RBI single by Matt Henrickson.

Donaldson racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Alpine Cowboys.

Noah Piards seven strikeouts were enough to push the Alpine Cowboys past the Las Vegas Train Robbers. Piard allowed three earned runs on three hits and three walks over six innings.

Hunter Ridge racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He singled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.

Ryan Ward (1-4) took the loss for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He allowed seven runs in six innings, walked three and struck out seven.
