The Alpine Cowboys make the most of 13 hits in 10-5 victory over the Santa Fe Fuego

The Alpine Cowboys (30-13) and the Santa Fe Fuego (24-16) both had scoring chances on Tuesday, but it was the Alpine Cowboys that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 10-5 win at Fort Marcy Park.

Austin Prott racked up four RBIs on three hits for the Alpine Cowboys. He doubled in the third inning, singled in the fifth inning, and homered in the eighth inning.

Aaron Corwin pitched lights out for the Alpine Cowboys. Corwin held the Santa Fe Fuego hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Eric Kozel had a hot bat for the Santa Fe Fuego. Kozel went 3-5, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the first inning and singled in the fourth and eighth innings.
