Early lead gives the Trinidad Triggers easy victory over the Santa Fe Fuego 19-6

The Trinidad Triggers (19-16) shut the door early on the Santa Fe Fuego (23-15), capturing a 19-6 victory on Sunday at Fort Marcy Park.

The game was decided quickly as the Trinidad Triggers exerted their will early with 10 runs in the first three innings. An RBI single by Jamie McMillan, an RBI single by Maximiano Garza, , an RBI single by Johnny Bladel, and a three-run home run by K.C. Judge in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Trinidad Triggers.

Chris Escobar racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Trinidad Triggers. He doubled in the second inning, homered in the fourth inning, and singled in the seventh inning.

Kolt Browder brought the heat against the Santa Fe Fuego during his outing. Browder held the Santa Fe Fuego hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked four and struck out four.

Craig Massey reached base three times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fourth innings.

Jeff Lyons recorded his third win for the Trinidad Triggers even though he allowed five runs over five innings. He struck out six, walked three and surrendered nine hits.

Jeramiah Stieneit couldnt get it done on the bump for the Santa Fe Fuego, taking a loss. He allowed seven runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked none and struck out two.

The Trinidad Triggers pounded the Santa Fe Fuego pitching, as seven hitters combined for 19 hits, 13 RBIs and 17 runs scored.
