The Douglas Diablos make the most of 8 hits in 7-6 victory over the Taos Blizzard


The Douglas Diablos (14-17) and the Taos Blizzard (8-20) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Douglas Diablos that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 7-6 win at Copper King Park.

Corben Green racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Douglas Diablos. He singled in the third innings.

The Taos Blizzard were led by Steve Tafts hitting. Taft went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first inning and homered in the fourth inning.

Ryan Pitt improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Douglas Diablos. He allowed one run over 1 2/3 innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Andrew Bruder (1-3) was the games losing pitcher. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
