The White Sands Pupfishs offense erupts for 12 runs in blowout victory over the Douglas Diablos


The White Sands Pupfish (6-12) continued to pile up the runs on Saturday, scoring four runs in the last three innings, en route to an easy 12-2 win over the Douglas Diablos (6-12).

Mike Delong brought the heat against the Douglas Diablos during his outing. Delong held the Douglas Diablos hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

Joe McCarthy improved to 2-1 on the year by picking up the win for the White Sands Pupfish. He allowed two runs over six innings. McCarthy struck out four, walked four and gave up six hits.

Ryan Pitt (0-1) took the loss for the Douglas Diablos. He allowed seven runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out four.
