The Trinidad Triggers fall to the Las Vegas Train Robbers 5-3

Kevin McGovern both hit and pitched well for the Trinidad Triggers (11-10), but it wasnt enough as the Trinidad Triggers fell to the Las Vegas Train Robbers (8-16) 5-3 at Central Park on Wednesday.

McGovern was hot from the plate for the Trinidad Triggers. McGovern went 1-2 and drove in one. He doubled in the fourth and seventh innings.

McGovern baffled the Las Vegas Train Robbers, striking out eight batters. McGovern allowed one earned run, seven hits and two walks over seven innings.

Gary Owens had two extra-base hits for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He doubled in the first and fifth innings.

The Las Vegas Train Robbers relied on Corey Delghan to eat up innings en route to the win. Delghan pitched seven innings and allowed one earned run, nine hits and one walk while striking out five.

McGovern ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year.
