6/21/2022-The San Rafael Pacifics defeated the visiting Santa Rosa Scuba Divers on Tuesday night 16-9. The Pacifics move to 16-3 on the season and maintain their spot on top of the Pacific Division in the Pecos League.

The charge was lead tonight by third baseman Tyler Georgeson. The Scuba Divers pitching staff struggled with their command throughout the evening. In the second inning, they walked the bases loaded and proceeded to walk a total of five runs in after that. Georgeson took advantage of that situation, bringing everyone home on a grand slam that broke the game open for the Pacifics. In the second inning alone, San Rafael scored nine runs.

"I knew he walked a couple batters, but I knew he was going to try and attack me early," said Georgeson after the game. "It was just a matter of how far it went."

Georgeson on his next at bat once again hit the sweet spot, hitting his second home run of the game in the fourth inning. He finished the night 3-5 with two home runs and six RBIs. Georgeson now has a team-leading nine home runs on the season.

"I was just seeing the ball like a beach ball tonight," said Georgeson, "I was getting up there, attacking early and seeing what damage I could do."

Along with Georgeson in the fourth inning, pitcher and player-manager Kyle Ulandy and first baseman Beau Dormin also hit home runs for San Rafael on the night. In total, the Pacifics hit four home runs against Scuba Diving pitching, taking advantage of hitters counts.

On the mound for the Pacifics was winning pitcher Ulandy. Santa Rosa took advantage of Ulandys first pitch strikes in the first inning. They scored four runs on six hits. However, Ulandy started mixing up his first pitch approach, eventually throwing off Scuba Diver hitters the rest of the way through. After the first inning, Ulandy only gave up six more hits, three earned runs and struck out seven.

"I was trying to live lower in the zone in the last couple of innings," said Ulandy, "I knew that they were just looking for something elevated to swing at and if they put a good piece of wood on it, it was going to go for a hit."

The Pacifics once again finished with 12 hits, another double digit hit night at Albert Park on the season. Georgeson and Corey Davis Jr. led the team with three hits each on the night. Dormin and Ulandy finished with two hits, including five RBIs in the game from Dormin.

The Pacifics look to win back-to-back games against the Scuba Divers on the road on Thursday and return to Albert Park on Friday to face off against Santa Cruz. San Rafael continues to stay hot to start the season.
