The Santa Fe Fuego drub the Las Vegas Train Robbers 17-2

The Las Vegas Train Robbers (5-13) didnt stand a chance on Saturday, as the Santa Fe Fuego (13-4) captured a blowout 17-2 win at Fort Marcy Park.

The Santa Fe Fuego scored seven runs in the seventh on the Santa Fe Fuego scored in the seventh on an RBI single by Craig Massey, a two-run double by Aaron Carman, an RBI single by Nick Billinger, and a three-run home run by Jeramiah Steinart.

Omar Artsen racked up six RBIs on two hits for the Santa Fe Fuego. He singled in the second inning and homered in the eighth inning.

Austin Cox had an impressive outing against the Las Vegas Train Robbers lineup. The Las Vegas Train Robbers managed just two hits off of Cox, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his three innings of work.

Shane Casey led the Las Vegas Train Robbers offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He homered in the third inning and singled in the eighth inning.

Steinart improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Santa Fe Fuego. He allowed two runs over six innings. He struck out six, walked three and surrendered four hits.

Olsen (0-2) was the games losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in six innings, walked two and struck out four.

The Santa Fe Fuego easily handled the Las Vegas Train Robbers pitching as seven hitters combined for 16 hits, 13 RBIs and 14 runs scored.
