The Roswell Invaders score early and often in 20-5 win over the Taos Blizzard

The Roswell Invaders (11-4) continued to pile up the runs on Wednesday, scoring six runs in the last three innings, on the way to a 20-5 landslide win over the Taos Blizzard (3-10) at Taos Tundra.

The Roswell Invaders scored five runs in the fourth on an RBI single by Sam Montgomery, , an RBI single by Andrew Arp, and a two-run single by Arp.

Mike Kerns racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Roswell Invaders. He doubled in the fifth inning, singled in the sixth and seventh innings, and homered in the eighth inning.

A.J. Funk had an impressive outing against the Taos Blizzards lineup. The Taos Blizzard managed just one hit off of the the Roswell Invaders pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Dominic SanFelippo led the Taos Blizzards offensive threat, as he got on base two times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the first inning.

Josh Mooney improved to 3-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Roswell Invaders. He allowed four runs over 6 2/3 innings. He struck out 11, walked three and surrendered five hits.

Joe Katin (1-1) was the games losing pitcher. He allowed 11 runs in four innings, walked seven and struck out three.

The Roswell Invaders pounded the Taos Blizzard pitching, as six hitters combined for 18 hits, 14 RBIs and 19 runs scored.
