Owens single propels the Las Vegas Train Robbers past the Trinidad Triggers 7-3

Three first-inning runs helped the Las Vegas Train Robbers (4-11) to a 7-3 win over the Trinidad Triggers (7-6) at Central Park on Wednesday.



Shane Casey got on base four times in the game for the Las Vegas Train Robbers. He scored two runs and had two RBIs. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the seventh inning.

Rob Swift kept contact to a minimum, striking out eight the Trinidad Triggers batters. Swift allowed two earned runs, five hits and four walks over six innings.

Johnny Bladel put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Trinidad Triggers. He doubled in the first and third innings.

Eric Cordova (0-1) took the loss for the Trinidad Triggers. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out four, and allowed five runs.
