Roswell Rolls Past White Sands 15-2

June 8 2018 The Roswell Invaders defeated the White Sands Pupfish 15-2, using an 18-hit attack to pull away in a decisive Pecos League victory. Roswell scored three runs in the first inning and added five in the second to build an 8-1 lead, then finished with three runs in the ninth. White Sands scored once in the first and once in the ninth while totaling nine hits.

Jordan Ackerman led Roswell with five hits in six at-bats, scoring three runs. Louis Martini hit a home run and drove in three runs, while Logan Coughlin and Dillon McTague also each recorded three RBI. Martini and McTague collected two doubles apiece, and Coughlin added another double. Roswell finished with 12 RBI and eight walks.

Ben Mckendall earned the win with a complete-game performance, allowing nine hits and two runs, one earned, while walking one and striking out 14 over nine innings. Ulric Johnson took the loss for White Sands after allowing nine runs, eight earned, on nine hits in four innings. Andrew Vlad and Jordan Young also pitched in relief for the Pupfish.
