Trinidad Triggers Rout Garden City Wind 23-6

May 24 2018 The Trinidad Triggers defeated the Garden City Wind 23-6, collecting 22 hits while limiting Garden City to 10 hits. Trinidad scored in seven of nine innings, including a 10-run eighth inning that put the game out of reach. Garden City scored twice in the first, three times in the third and once in the seventh.

Tim Henry led Trinidad’s offensive attack by going 4-for-6 with four runs and five RBI. Rickey Ramirez went 3-for-7 with two runs, seven RBI and a home run, while Kenneth Fudge added a 4-for-6 performance with three runs, four RBI and a home run. Matt Eureste and Abel Arocho each had three and two hits respectively, and Trinidad also received two hits and an RBI from catcher Bronson Butcher.

Garden City’s home runs came from Cole Fenner, Ryan Whitt and D. Williams. Whitt finished 2-for-5 with two RBI, while Nick King and Ryan Faircloth each collected two hits. Garden City committed one error, compared with none for Trinidad.

Taylor Bridges earned the win for Trinidad after allowing five runs on six hits in five innings, with four walks and seven strikeouts. Ryan Patrick worked two innings and allowed one run, while Kane Klais and Matt Stuart each pitched a scoreless inning. Troy Mannebach took the loss for Garden City, surrendering six runs on seven hits in 3 1/3 innings. Michael Biasello allowed eight runs on six hits while recording one out as Trinidad broke the game open in the eighth.
