Joey Dean of the Garden City Wind has been named the Pecos League Mountain Division Broadcaster of
the Year, earning the honor for the fourth time in his Pecos League broadcasting career.
Dean has established the Garden City Wind broadcast as one of the premier productions in the Pecos
League. His broadcasts feature a professional multi-camera setup, high-quality video production and
innovative technology that has helped raise the standard for broadcasts throughout the league.
Among Dean's biggest contributions has been his pioneering use of instant replay technology in Pecos
League broadcasts. Combined with multiple camera angles and a dedicated video production setup, the
Garden City broadcast gives fans a professional viewing experience throughout the season.
"Joey Dean and the Garden City Wind have the best broadcast in the entire Pecos League. With their
video truck and them running in 1280, they are the model to strive for," said Ryan Weyl, current
Grand Junction manager and former Alpine Cowboys broadcaster.
Dean's work has helped make Garden City one of the league's leading broadcast operations while
giving Wind fans the opportunity to follow the team with a consistently high-quality production both
at home and on the road.
The 2026 award marks Dean's fourth Pecos League Broadcaster of the Year honor, further establishing
him as one of the league's most accomplished broadcasters.
His continued commitment to improving production quality, introducing new technology and providing
fans with an outstanding broadcast experience has made the Garden City Wind broadcast a standard for
other Pecos League clubs to follow.
