Roswell Invaders Beat Alpine Cowboys 7-3

July 10 2025 The Roswell Invaders defeated the Alpine Cowboys 7-3 after scoring in three innings and holding Alpine to two runs over the final six frames. Roswell collected nine hits and took advantage of a three-run opening inning to establish an early lead at Joe Bauman.

Roswell added two runs in the third and two more in the sixth to build a 7-1 advantage. Alpine scored once in the third and twice in the eighth, but Roswell’s pitching staff kept the Cowboys from completing the comeback. The Invaders finished with nine hits and two errors while Alpine had nine hits and one error.

Mikey Alonzo led Roswell with three hits and three RBI. Michael Fisk added two hits, including a triple, and drove in two runs, while Ty Murray contributed a hit and an RBI. For Alpine, Sean Becker, James Prockish and John Tuttle each had two hits. Aaron Izquierdo drove in two of the Cowboys’ three runs, and Carson Kirby added one RBI.

Ira Clifton earned the win for Roswell after allowing three runs, two earned, on nine hits in 8.1 innings. He walked two and struck out 10 before Michael Martinez recorded the final two outs without allowing a hit or a run. Alpine starter Humberto Vela took the loss after giving up seven runs, five earned, on nine hits in six innings, while Jesse Garcia worked two scoreless innings and struck out four.
