June 10 2025 The Vallejo Seaweed rallied for a 6-5 victory over the Dublin Leprechauns at Wilson Park. Vallejo finished with 11 hits and no errors, while Dublin also collected 11 hits but committed four errors. The Seaweed scored the winning run in the 10th inning after the teams entered the final frame tied at 5-5.
Vallejo built an early 2-1 lead in the second inning, added two runs in the seventh and scored once in both the ninth and 10th. Dublin took a 1-0 lead in the second before breaking through for four runs in the eighth.
Michael Pavelchak led Vallejo with three hits, including a triple, one RBI and one walk.
Antonio Straughter went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs, while
Trey Fletcher and
Ethan Whatley also scored twice combined with Fletcher scoring two runs.
Carson Richter drove in two runs for Dublin, and
DJ Aceron Jr. went 1-for-5 with two runs and one RBI.
Damone Hale added two hits, including a double, and
Juan Zorola and
Jojo Barfield each scored a run.
Adrian Morales earned the win for Vallejo with a scoreless ninth inning, allowing no hits and striking out one.
Zak Rasener also threw a scoreless inning with two strikeouts, while
Antonio Straughter worked 7.2 innings and allowed five runs on eight hits with four walks and six strikeouts.
Brad Moreno took the loss for Dublin after allowing two runs, one earned, on two hits in 2.1 innings with four walks and five strikeouts. Dublin starter
Gordon Wend struck out eight and allowed two runs, one earned, on six hits over six innings.
