Alpine Cowboys Defeat Roswell Invaders 12-7

June 4 2025 The Alpine Cowboys defeated the Roswell Invaders 12-7, using a four-run first inning and steady production throughout the game to secure the win. Alpine finished with 13 hits and one error, while Roswell collected 15 hits but committed three errors.

AJ Folds led Alpine with three hits, two runs and two walks in five at-bats. Xavier Croxton added two hits, two runs and three RBI, while Josh Rego had two hits and two RBI. Ethan Rivera contributed a double, a hit and three RBI, and William Glick reached safely five times with two hits and three walks.

Alpine opened a 4-0 lead in the first and added two runs in the third, one in the fourth and three in the fifth. Roswell scored three times in the fifth to narrow the margin, but the Cowboys answered with a run in the seventh and another in the ninth. Roswell scored twice in the seventh and twice in the eighth, but could not complete the comeback.

Rivera earned the victory after allowing three runs on eight hits in five innings while striking out nine and walking three. Kyle Dalton worked two innings and allowed two runs, one earned, while Jean Reyes pitched a scoreless ninth. Matt Lopez took the loss for Roswell after recording two outs and allowing four earned runs with six walks. Mikey Alonzo hit Roswells only home run and finished with two RBI, while Chad Bayne collected three hits.
