Dublin Leprechauns Outslug Vallejo Seaweed 11-8

July 20 2024 The Dublin Leprechauns defeated the Vallejo Seaweed 11-8 in a high-scoring game. Dublin collected 18 hits and scored in five innings, building an early lead with one run in the first, two in the second and four in the third. Vallejo answered with four runs in the second and two in the fourth, but Dublin added a run in the sixth and three more in the seventh to take control.

Stone Miyao led Dublin with four hits, two runs and two RBI. T. Latham added two hits and three RBI, while D. Gardiner went 2-for-6 with a home run, one run and one RBI. V. Ceniceros scored twice and drove in a run, and F. Ogami contributed two hits and an RBI. Dublin also received a solo home run from Gardiner.

Vallejo finished with 11 hits, including three from Trey Fletcher, who homered, scored twice and drove in three runs. M. Palvecheck also hit a home run and recorded three RBI, while E. Molina had two hits and scored once. Vallejo committed six errors, compared with none for Dublin.

Brad Morano earned the win after allowing five hits and two runs, one earned, in five innings. He walked two and struck out six. Dublin used three pitchers to cover nine innings, allowing eight runs, seven earned, on 11 hits. C. Drain worked six innings for Vallejo, giving up 16 hits and eight runs, six earned, while striking out one.
