July 11 2024 The Dublin Leprechauns defeated the Bakersfield Train Robbers 9-8 at Fallon Field in a back-and-forth game. Dublin collected 15 hits and overcame two Bakersfield errors while the Train Robbers finished with 10 hits and two errors.
Dublin scored four times in the first inning and added two runs in the third and two more in the sixth. Bakersfield answered with two runs in the third four in the fourth three in the sixth and one in the eighth to tie the game at 8-8. Dublin scored the decisive run in the ninth inning.
J. Nunn went 3-for-3 with two runs for Dublin and T. Latham also had three hits in four at-bats. A. Stayte and C. Evans each hit a home run with Stayte driving in one run and Evans contributing two RBIs. V. Ceniceros drove in two runs and D. Gardiner added two hits and an RBI. For Bakersfield J. Burns went 3-for-5 with two runs while J. Lee was 2-for-4 with two runs. J. Riddle drove in two runs.
Nico Camacho earned the win for Dublin after allowing one hit and one run in three innings while striking out four.
Jonathan Russamanni started for Dublin and worked three innings allowing four hits and two earned runs.
Jayden Metz took the loss for Bakersfield after pitching 1.2 innings and allowing two hits and one run.
