July 23 2023 The Roswell Invaders rallied for six runs in the ninth inning to defeat the Austin Weirdos 11-10. Roswell trailed 10-5 entering the final inning before completing the comeback. Austin collected 14 hits and Roswell finished with eight hits in the high-scoring game.
Austin built its early lead with five runs in the first inning and three more in the second.
Markus Bracey went 4-for-5 with three runs and two doubles, while
Alex Westman had two hits and two RBI.
Dean Streich and
Rex Jackson each added two RBI, and
Carlo Francisco drove in a run.
Roswell chipped away with single runs in the third and fifth innings, two in the sixth and one in the seventh before its decisive ninth-inning surge.
Dillan Smith went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBI.
Seth Schroeder had two hits and two RBI, while
Robert Morosetti added two hits.
Colton Adams scored twice and drew four walks.
Rene Ramirez earned the win for Roswell after allowing one hit and striking out two in one scoreless inning.
