July 23 2023 The Martinez Sturgeon defeated the Dublin Leprechauns 23-8 at Waterfront Park, building a five-run lead in the first inning and adding two runs in the second. Martinez scored in every inning it batted, including three runs in the third, seven in the fourth and six in the fifth. Dublin scored once in both the third and fourth innings before producing six runs in the fifth.
Trevor Rodgers led Martinez with two home runs, two hits, three runs and six RBI.
Eric Whitfield also homered and finished with two hits, three runs and four RBI.
Sam Freedman added two hits, two runs and four RBI, while
Jon Fargnoli collected two hits and drove in three runs.
Nick Adgar scored four times, had a double and drove in two runs.
Martinez finished with 16 hits and 22 RBI, compared with seven hits and eight RBI for Dublin.

Tony Riley, Rodgers and Fargnoli each had two hits for the Sturgeon.
Asahnti Ross paced Dublin with two hits and two RBI, while
Kyler LeRoux also had two hits.
Kyle Montebon doubled and drove in three runs for the Leprechauns.
Erik Estrada earned the win for Martinez after allowing seven hits and eight runs, five earned, in four innings. He walked two and struck out three.
Isaiah Chavez followed with a scoreless inning and two strikeouts. Montebon took the loss for Dublin, surrendering 10 hits and 15 runs, 13 earned, in 3.1 innings with five walks and two strikeouts.
JC Shepherd allowed six hits and eight runs, seven earned, over 1.1 innings.
