Roswell Invaders Pull Away From SnowSox 9-2

June 18 2022 The Roswell Invaders scored nine unanswered runs across the middle innings to defeat the Colorado Springs SnowSox 9-2. Roswell finished with 13 hits while Colorado Springs had eight. Each team committed one error.

Colorado Springs took a 1-0 lead in the second inning and added another run in the sixth. Roswell answered with three runs in the fourth and two in the fifth before breaking the game open with a four-run seventh inning.

Dillan Smith led Roswell with three hits three runs and one RBI. John Tuttle also collected three hits and drove in three runs while scoring twice. Kevin Roque added two hits and Matt Rodriguez reached base four times with a hit and three walks. Jonathon Bigley contributed a pinch-hit RBI single and Paul Collins added an RBI.

Christopher Guzman earned the win after allowing two hits and one earned run in three innings with two strikeouts. Jonathan Chinchilla opened for Roswell and allowed four hits and one earned run over four innings while striking out five. Colorado Springs starter Spenser Dexter took the loss despite striking out seven in five innings. He allowed seven hits and five runs with three earned.
