Fuego Rally Past Invaders 13-9

June 4 2022 The Santa Fe Fuego overcame an early deficit and defeated the Roswell Invaders 13-9 at Fort Marcy Park. Santa Fe collected 19 hits and scored six runs in the fourth inning to take the lead, while Roswell finished with 12 hits and two errors.

Roswell opened with three runs in the first and added one in the second before Santa Fe answered with a run in each of the first three innings. The Invaders scored three in the fourth and two in the fifth to pull even at 9-9, but the Fuego regained the lead with a run in the sixth and added another in the seventh before scoring twice in the eighth.

Dominick Pisano led Santa Fe with three hits and four RBI. Jesus Chavez added two hits including a home run and drove in three runs, while Jared Gay scored four times and hit a home run. Parker DePasquale and Tyler Carpenter each had two hits, and Drake Ayala contributed a hit and two RBI. Santa Fe also received home runs from Chavez Pisano and Gay.

Juan Montes paced Roswell with three hits and two runs while Robert Morosetti and Matt Rodriguez each homered. Rodriguez drove in three runs and Morosetti added two RBI. Luke Poselovic earned the win after allowing one hit and two earned runs with two strikeouts in two innings. Sam Russell took the loss despite allowing two runs only one of them earned in three innings.
