Alpine Cowboys Rally Past Roswell Invaders 10-9

August 7 2021 The Alpine Cowboys defeated the Roswell Invaders 10-9 in a 10-inning game at Kokernot Field. Alpine collected 14 hits and overcame a 16-hit performance by Roswell, with both teams committing one error.

Roswell built its largest lead with a four-run third inning and added runs in the second fourth sixth and 10th innings. Alpine answered with three runs in the fifth three more in the eighth and two in the 10th to secure the victory. The Cowboys also scored once in the first and fourth innings.

Alex Canty led Alpine with two hits including a double three RBI two runs and two walks. James Prockish went 3-for-5 with two runs and two RBI, while Joel Barraza added three hits and Josh Laurie scored three runs. For Roswell, Robert Morosetti collected four hits and Colton Adams had two hits two runs and one RBI. Cole Chambers hit a solo home run and drove in three runs.

Alpine starter Jake Thomas allowed 10 hits and seven runs in three innings, while Jake Woods followed with two scoreless innings. Trey Silmon earned the win after pitching two-thirds of an inning without allowing a run. Roswells Ian Concevitch struck out five in 4 1/3 innings, and Jonathan Fleckenstein worked 2 2/3 scoreless innings before Jack McNellis took the loss after allowing two runs in 2 1/3 innings.
